I had to remove the drum on my P-450 Ford rear brakes. Now I can't get it to go completely on. It went over the shoes ok, but it needs to go about 1 inch more to be where it should be. I think it may be the new grease seal that is keeping it from seating.
I checked the fit using the grease seal from the other side and it is a tight fit.( I guess if it wasn't the grease would run out)
I am worried about damageing the bearing, by tightening the axle housing nut, to bring the drum in. I have never installed a brake drum this big before ( about a 2 1/2 ton truck) Any Suggestions?
