Hello:
My name is BlindRiverJoe or just Joe. I am on this site to learn about the workings of my Ford Escape and try to filter out what is true about the car verses what is not so reliable about the vehicle from things that I have read on the internet. I own a 2010 Escape and it has been a decent mode of transportation. I have have some major problem with it and I am just trying to understand how or why these problems might have occurred. In particular does any one know about this service bulletin below. Is this just internet hear say or does the bulletin really exist. Sorry if this is in the wrong place but I really have never used a forum or thread before.
I am looking for information on a Ford Special Service Message 22492 in regards to a possible problem with the A/C desiccant dries in the system. I would like to find a copy of this document with official Ford letter head. Does anyone know where I can find this information? I have tried to google it several different ways with no luck. My A/C just quite on my 2010 Escape and is not out of warranty. I am trying to understand why a SUV with so low miles on it is having this problem. If any one can help me find this service message I would be very grateful.
