I read the through the forum and didn't see anything I am about to ask, so for your sanity's sake, I hope I am right. Hehe. I was checking out the GTech Pro Competition Performance Meter . I have no idea how it works. According to manuf. bragging, there is no install or wires? This is what they say:
Intelligent Shift Lights
Cornering Lights
RPM Sensing with No Wiring
Reaction-Time Measurement
Multiple Run Recording
Temperature Compensation
2-Megabyte Data Logger
Ultra Cool Blue Light
Installation: Plug and Play, No installation and wiring are needed.
My buddy says he was close to buying one, but before his hood ripped off @115 mph and totaled his 'stang. Any info is greatly appreciated!
Yes, they do work. They use an inertia circuit to calculate the numbers. However, the results are only as accurate as the numbers you give it to begin with. Devices like this are also used for roller coaster testing!
So basically I could check out my HP and TRQ on my '00, then see what it is on Viper at Magic Mountain? Sweet! Any one think the 250 dollars is worth it? Somewhat easy to figure out the info inputed, IE weight.
