What's the most idiotic thing you've been told about excursions

Fun detail: Here in NY both my Excursion and my Fiat 500 have the same registration class: "suburban". This has nothing to do with the Chevy Suburban (other than it happens to be a "suburban" too according to the DMV). This class is for any vehicle that has a luggage compartment that is joint with the passenger compartment, so it's used for hatchbacks, wagons, suv's, vans, etc.
The Definition of "Suburban (SUBN)"
Still seems odd to see "Suburban" listed on the registration sticker of the Excursion (and even weirder on the Fiat). Of course the price I pay for registration is far from the same - it's based on the GVWR, so I think I ended up paying 2-3x as much for the plates on the Ex as I did the Fiat. I get that back on the inspection side though, since pre-2008 diesels have no emissions inspection.

Same here...when I take mine in to pick up a part or for service, you see them practically run over to try to be first to say "I bet we could get you a good deal on that for a trade-in".
...one day with the wife by my side the guy took maybe two steps and I yelled out "don't even think about it" and he spun on his heels. My wife said "that was mean"...I replied "that guy has hit me up three times now to trade this in and he just doesn't understand 'no means no'!"

"Don’t eyeball me! I’ve seen your mother driving up and down these streets looking at me! I’ll be your stepfather by the end of the week!"

I have had a couple of the "Why did you get that"? Questions. All polite of course.
I then ask can you take two daughters, two 70+ pound dogs, a weeks worth of luggage for 3 women to the beach and have the kids sleep in their own row for the trip down and back in your minivan or SUV all while getting 18 mpg. How about dealing with a foot of snow in the mountains? How about pulling a 3 horse trailer and having room for all of the stuff required for a horse show.......
My favorite comment was, "how many mailboxes have you had to buy since getting it".

I have people ask what's wrong with my 95 blazer all the time. It's a "project truck" but runs great. It's a blast to drive and I'll keep it forever, but I haven't registered it in 4 years now... it sits parked at the house and only goes around the block once every other week or so. I stopped driving it once I bought the X. We don't need 3 vehicles and the X and the Highlander are both reliable.
