My dad just called and said that while parking truck he heard a pop and it wouldn't go into reverse.The truck is a 1999 ford Ranger ext cab 4x2 automatic.

Right now I am just fishing for suggestions. Could this just be a linkage problem or worse. Still new to this ranger. What kind of probelms do the auto's have?
