lift kit

hello,
I'm going to pick up my first expy tomorrow, a 97 xlt 4.6 for $9k
seems like a good deal, I'm contemplating a mild lift and larger tires (33 inch or less). I am looking for suggestions on where to find a lift kit and if anybody has offroad experience with these.
thanks,
a new expy owner
weaserdapi.

lift kit

Probably gonna need a little more info about your rig. Some Expys are equipped with air bags in the rear, and some have both front and rear air bags. Fabtech has several kits for most Expy applications, as well as RCD, Pro Comp, and Super Lift. Your current suspension set up will determine the lift kit you need.
You said 33's or less.....Did you know that you can currently run 33's without a lift? There are a couple of guys on here that have stock suspension and are running 33's....(I think buzzard), but I'm sure you are looking for the clearance underneath. Good luck, and try a search for previous threads. I think there was a list awhile back that had some lift kit company names.

hello, hope you enjoy your expy.. depending on your suspension you can clear 33`s on a stock expy with very little elbow grease.. check to see if you have lls or coils.. you can do a search i this forum. you can find lots of info on the subject.. hope this helps
