Transmission ?
Hey Experts , so whats going on with my exp 03 xlt.My wife tells me that she feels a vib while the truck is in idle or a slight shaking.(I really dont she has been known for feeling these things so i value her opinion) with that said when taking off I do feel that it does initially . But what has been happening is that every once in awhile it feels like the tranny is shifting in and out of gear very quickly. and just for a moment .Now recently after an all day driving in 100 degree heat around 45 to maybe 65mph it seemed to shift in and out of overdrive quickly (dont think rpms change) and did this most of the way home (60 ml drive).Havent had same conditions again for it to act up but still feel that shaking vib or what ever it is at take off.Oil topped off still redish look,190k no tranny oil change since I ve had it.

You should probably do a tranny service on it. Oh wait, that was due 160k ago. It is easy to ignore service until you come up against what could be a huge bill. If it is a misfire and you don't have a CEL on, you need to find a code reader that will show you pending codes.

Hey Gents , Thanks for all the help.So I did end up changing filter and oil for the tranny but with no improvement.However the cel finally went off gave me a code(dont remember num) but it confirmed to me what I had researched that a low output coil gives this problem.Try to give more updates as they happen
