Cruise Control Surge
Day 1: Took truck into dealer. Although I described the problem and told them the faulty part was the ABS module, they had to "hook it up" to their computer to test it. The part was not in stock and is back ordered.
Day 2: The part is in, but the dealer calls at end of the day with bad news. The part was for a 4x2 and not a 4x4. They have my truck dismantled, so they asked for me to leave it until the next day when the REAL part is due in.
Day 3: Part is in and installed. I arrange to pick it up after the service department closes due to a long day at work. When I start the truck I get the "SERVICE ENGINE SOON" light. I shut it down and notice they did not hook the cannon plug up to the mass air sensor.
Day 4: They reset my computer and all is well...
Finally, I have my truck back and it is fixed. WOW!! I didn't know that a 1.5 hour job could take so long!
