will taillights from a 93-97, or 98-99 fit on a 2002. i need the 3 colored lights, and the 93's are cheaper than the 98's, so i'd like to get those. someone please help on this. i have the front lights rewired, now i just need to know what i can do with the back. thanks.
I just checked the tail lights on my '94, and compared them to ones on a 2000. They sure look like the same size and shape, so they should be interchangable. Just different color lenses. But if it DOESN'T work, don't blame me!
That's what I'm thinking... I was looking into buying some Altezza's (which are stupid) just because since they're "Euro" and I figured they'd have amber turns. (I was wrong) I called Ford in the US, and they claim that 93's and '02's won't interchange. They say there's different sheet metal on the back, but part of me thinks they just say that so that in theory I'll buy the more expensive '02 lights... just a little theory. I think dealers are evil. If anyone has some more insight.... please speak up!
Well, I decided to roll the dice and save myself some $$, so I bought the 93 taillights. Now all I have to do is get the brake light separated from the turn signal in the back, and I should be legal to drive the Ranger around Europe. Anyone need a set of '02 taillights? They should be ready to ship in a week or two.
