starting problems theft light flashes alarm is disconected wnen i put in gear it stalls try 3 or 4 times light dosent blink car starts and doesent stall i use regular keys since alaRM WAS DISCONECTED IT ONLY HAPENF 10%NOF TIMES DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO
I don't mean to be harsh, but please try to be a little clearer with your posts. Even if your alarm is disconnected, the PATS system (that works with the key) should still be active. Try getting your keys reprogrammed or a new key. You can pick up blank keys on Ebay for $10-15 bucks, and based on your year of truck, you may be able to program it yourself. The key cylinder itself acts as the "antenna" for the system, and becomes energized when you try to start the truck. This in turn activates the tiny transponder inside your key. If the cylinder is damaged or defective, maybe it is not energizing the key, and your computer does not recognize it, making the truck stall. The PATS system is complex, and may require dealership involvement.
