The two-tones look cool on these trucks (48-52). The Canadians trucks were available with the two-tone paint but our American trucks weren't though. I am considering the two-tone for mine, red with black fenders and a red grill. Another idea is like the coloring I'm doing (almost done).
Are we posting them here? or are we e-mailing them to you?
Just e-mail it back to me. You should paint it the stock vermilion red. There is a '48 F-135 up the road with the black fender, Red cab and chrome grill. Looks pretty sharp!
When you get a chance could you post or e-mail me a picture of that 48? I have seen a few done in two-tone, but I don't think I have seen a red and black one.
I don't really want to spend the dinero to get the whole grill chromed, but Mac's has some stainless pieces that go over the grill bars. I have seen them with the painted grills and they look cool, they were actually available from the factory (I believe) or atleast from some one in 1950.
You have to pay $5 for every entry after the first one. You can send the $85 bucks to me, round it up to an even $1000 and we'll call it even.
Seriously though, what program did you use? My favorite is the grey rod. I'm not big on shaving emblems, but that one jumps out at me. Awsome job on all of them. It makes me want to resubmit mine.
Any possibility you guys can post thumb nails that link to photos instead of the fullsize images? Have a little mercy on the FTE users with modems, this page is already up to 2.5 megabytes in size with will take about 10 minutes for a modem user to download!
Hmm do we have an computer graphic artist here? I assume this because most people don't have access to a program that allows them to achieve such results. First I thought it would be hard to beat 4speed. Opps I let the cat out of the bag.
