Drive shaft slip yoke problem

Drive shaft slip yoke problem
2000 f150 4r70w trans with the 2 piece drive shaft and that blue plastic that's on the slip yoke is pealing I think its the slip yoke anyways that goes inside the drive shaft slip yoke so now the slip yoke that goes over it wont fit is there any reason it shouldn't am I doing something wrong?
