About two weeks ago I was watching a show called Extreme Waterparks and they spent the hour of the show going from the dream to the final product of this. It was interesting watching the test slide that they built in Texas with some of the "failures" of the rafts.

You do realize that after they built the real thing and it was certified as being the tallest slide in the world, they took about 3/4's of it down and flattened out the initial drop and decreased the angle on the uphill side of the second hill to keep the rafts in the ride.

That they did. The video on YouTube, was that of the test one?? If so, that tower was half the height of the real one. The tower of the one in KC was built using 4 railroad tank cars that were welded/bolted together.
