Ford E150 1996
Hi every one;
Just to ask you if someone has specifications about the Ford Econoline E150 6 cylinders, 4,9 liters dated 1996.
I'm going to buy this truck in FRANCE ( i live there ), and it's very rare to find one. I have to find a truck to tow my Airstream trailer 27', 4570 lbs and i think this one could be the one.
So i want to verify the towing capacities but I don't find datas about it.

That will be above the rated towing capacity, but if you drive carefully, it can certainly handle that much weight. I tow MUCH more than that with my truck. If it has an automatic transmission, you should add a cooler.
The tow ratings (GCWR) are listed in the owner's manual. If it's missing, contact Ford for a replacement.

I can't get informations on the owner manual for the moment because the truck is'nt mine so I don't want the dealer think I very interested in it with no price negociation after.
I just want to get real towing capacities for this model, and apparently, it's difficult...

Thank you for your reply, I've decided to search the V8 E150, but it was nearly impossible to find.
So with the time, I've chaged my choice and I've found a pick-up FORD F150 1997, 4,6 liters, 220 HP.
I'm not now, disappointed at all.
