1987 F350 front turn signals not working

Howdy all... I have a old work truck/dump 350 and the front turn signals do not work and either do the break lights. I have not tried to replace the breaklight switch yet or the multi function switch in the steering column as of yet trying to see if it's something more simple then that. I also have checked all bulbs and fuses and those are good. The lights turn on in the front but will not blink. Then I am sorta clueless regarding the break lights. Oh and before I forget it also has no reverse lights.

Also if you have a nice picture of the fuse box for a 87 350 I would appreciate it for my records.

Any help appreciated.

Matt

do the rear blinkers work?
if no blinkers work, the lights just stay on solid, try changing the flasher. it is in the fuse box.
if no rear lights at all, i would say it is the blinker switch in th column is bad. if the rear blinkers come on than i would try jumping the brake light switch and see if the lights come on.
the brake lights may also just be an out of alignment switch.

The rear turn signals do work. The break lights do not. The front turn signals do not and the reverse lights do not.

ok. reverse lights are controlled by the reverse light switch in the manual trans, or behind the shift arm on the automatic trans.

it sounds to me like your blinker switch in the column may be bad.

Are you saying the parking lamps on the front work but not the turn side of the bulbs on the front?

Do the turn indicators work in the dash cluster?

What did I tell you checking your attitude at the door and being open to suggestions would get you a lot further than your last three identical threads on this subject.

@subford correct the front lamps turn on fine however will not flash. The rear flash now that I have them grounded correctly. I am thinking maybe the flasher is bad in the fuse box? Reason I say this is my hazords do not work either. However yes the blinkers do show up on the dash.

@crew there is no attitude here please only reply on my thread if you have something helpful to actually say rather then complaining that I have an attitude which is not true.... Frustrated at crazy electrical problems would be more like it.

Thanks subford for your help so far.

You are absolutely correct your attitude has changed on this thread. It only took three identical threads to figure it out.

I created a new thread because I am trying to be more specific also you hijacked my last one. Again if you have nothing positive or helpful to say you can go away. Hence why I had to start a new thread.

I was pointing out the obvious, your openness for help and not criticism for the help you received will get you a lot further, there are a lot of other guys that come in with the same attitude and do not make it because they do not change it. Good job.

You said you checked the bulbs. Have you tried replacing them. The dual filament or 1157 or 3157 can be deceiving when blown both at the same time not likely but if that circuit shorted it would have blown them both.

@subford that diagram you posted does it matter that it's for a 150? This is the first Ford I have owned and my first truck so I have not a clue. I am happy though that I was able to get the rear turn signals working along with the running lights in the rear. I just pulled the flasher from the fuse box and I am going to replace this to see if this fixes my problem.

I will go get some new bulbs tonight along with the flasher and see where I end up. I would assume my flasher is still bad due to the hazords not working (hopefully)

If your rear turns are working the flasher is good.
