Noise From Under Dash
Purchased a new 2013 F-150 approx. one year ago. Since day 1, have had problems with the battery running down overnight (though this hasn't happened for several weeks). This past weekend, I noticed a sound coming from under the dash. It sounded like a small motor running. It would run for approx. 2 seconds, and then stay off for approx. 2 minutes. This cycle went on pretty much all weekend. It does the same thing with the ignition on or off. This morning, I didn't hear the noise. I called the local Ford dealer, and he said that sound was normal (though he didn't elaborate on what it was). But, if it's normal, why am I just now hearing it for the first time? Two other dealers told me to bring it in, but that they probably wouldn't be able to do much if it isn't making that noise while in the shop. I am curious if this is somehow linked to the battery discharge problem. Anyone else had a similar experience?
