5.0 engine swap
When replacing a 1993 5.0 with a 1995 5.0, it has been said that you must use the 1993 distributor in the 1995 engine. Is this true? If it is, can someone clarify why this is?

I would keep the 93 distributor in your 93 pickup just to ensure the electronics are compatible. I'm not sure of model year breakdowns, but there may be differences in controlling timing and the spark itself that may cause headaches that can be avoided.
Make sure that if your truck is speed density, and the newer engine is MAF, you will want to swap the lower manifold or tap the newer one so you can have a place for the ACT sensor.

If both trucks use the remote TFI module setup there is no need to mess with the distributors... they are the same. If they are different then use the one that matches the engine bay wiring in your truck and do not attempt to use any wiring that comes with the donor motor.
