Driving down the road with the radio blasting and shut the truck off.....start the truck, radio is still on.....no sound...turn the **** off and back on ....radio plays again.....is that the new normal?
I have found that if the radio, especially the satellite radio, acts up as you described to disconnect the batteries for a few minutes. This reboots everything. Kinda like kicking an old TV to get reception. I have done this twice in the 3.5 years of ownership of my current truck.
Yeah I see unexplainable things all the time with my bluetooth iphone connected.Irritating.Usually turn off ignition, open door ,close door start again and all is fine.
There is a software patch for this problem. My truck had this issue and I returned it 6 times till I showed the Tech how to duplicate it every time. He communicated with the Tech Center about it. This time they said we are aware of the issue and then a week later the patch was issued. Prior to that the advice from the regional tech honcho was to disable the phone to cure the problem. 3 weeks later now no more issue.
Reason for the phone question......If I have bluetooth selected as the Source under the User Device on the Media tab on the radio, when the truck is started, music is automatically pushed to the truck from the phone. If there is no music selected it may be quiet. It's frustrated me to no end for a while until I figured out to touch the virtual Source (BTST) button and select Line In. Then my phone stopped automatically syncing the music (calls would still work like normal).
I wish I could help you, but I don't stream via BT with the truck. My wife does in her Acadia and I can tell you she has to start it over each time. It's a PITA. I just hook up a dedicated iPod and go. Good luck...
