Identifying a lift kit?

OK, just bought a 91 Eddie Bauer-351, all that neat stuff--prior owner put a lift in it--the rear axle is using about 4" worth of blocks, and the front has drops for the I-beams and radius arms (around 4-6"--havent measured yet)

Is there anyway to tell the manufacturer of this kit? I haven't seen any markings on it as far as part numbers or anything, but I havent looked that closely yet, either. It had skyjacker shocks on it (the rears were installed upside down--guess they couldnt read the "this end down" markings), and I just put a brand new set of em on there (improved ride considerably).
I just wanted to try and figure out the kit manufacturer, in case I run into trouble with it later on down the road.

If pics will help, just say so--I'll get some posted

Thanks,
Jim

Jim,

If the parts are black, it's hard telling. You'll need to get under the truck with a good flashlight and inspect the drop brackets and such for a manufacturers stamp. There should be something somewhere. If the shocks were installed as part of the kit, they should also be stamped with the lift manufacturer's name and may be easier to see.

A couple color guidelines:
Red is generally Rancho
Yellow is generally Superlift
Blue is generally Explorer ProComp
Gray or Hammertone could be any of two or three others.
All these manufacturers also sell black

HTH,
Larry

Yeah, if you have rust,it might take some work. I had a Superlift kit installed on my Bronco. They laser etched the logo on all the parts. Unfortunately, laser etching isn't very deep, so you'd need to take a drill and a wire brush to the brackets to try to reveal the logos.

Good luck,
Larry
