Ok, I'm going to attempt to rewire my dash on my 64 2wd. Does anyone know where I can get a wiring diagram that tells me what color wire goes where? Someone posted a 66 Mustang diagram that was really good. I'd love to find one like this:
There is a website that offers the 64 truck wiring diagram but does not provide the wiring color code. Suggest purchase the 64 Ford pickup wiring manual, many of the 61-66 Ford part suppliers carry them, or purchase directly from supplier, Jim Osborn Reproductions for $7, found it came in handy when I rewired my 65.
They also make reproduction wiring harness for the 64 Ford pickup, again many of the 61-66 Ford part supplier's carry them. Purchased the harness for the 65 thru Mr. Mustang inc, found the quality very good. Have not found a supplier for the dash harness. Repaired the dash harness for the 65 and used plastic ties to keep the various wiring truck separate as I made repairs. Also, used non adhesive harness wrap to each trunk after making repairs and used regular electrician tape to secure the ends.

For the 'do it yourselfer' Mac's carries a selection automotive wire in various sizes and colors. They may carry the connectors, or salvage the old. I purchased the pins, and connectors thru ebay, obviously if unable to locate salvage the ole and make sure to cut a good length pig tail for soldering. Something to keep in mind while wrecking yard salvage shopping, connectors if unable to find source.
You can also buy these through MAC'S Antique Auto. I have the 64 Shop Manual, Parts Manual, Wiring diagrams, and Accessories manuals all through MAC's. Best money ever spent on the 64.
