Inherited my Dad's 1989 F250 - problem is NO HEAT - replaced radiator (leaked), cleaned out heater core. Still no heat. Checked Chilton's repair manual at library - no help.
Anyone know about dismantling the heater to see if a door isn't working - if I have a vacuum leak or cable broken...HELP?
Check to see if your heat selector cold selector slide is hard to move from left to right. IE cold to hot . IF so you have a problem with the gate located up under glove box and dash area?
Do you get ANY airflow? Have you put a water hose to the heater core to see if water can flow thru it? The temperature blend door is cable-operated on all '80-96 F-series, but they are known to come off their hinges & bind. The easiest way to check is to pull the evaporator cover and look thru the large hole in the firewall - it's right there.
