RV_Tech can I ask a question? My 01 Coleman pop up has a shower faucet that is leaking(drips) at both H & C supply lines. The faucet is plastic with 1/2 diameter connections. The supply line is 3/8 pex with a copper 90 degree fitting clamped onto the pex. The copper fitting has a flange and a black rubber washer that fits into the faucet and is held on with a large plastic nut. I took it apart and the washers are junk so I tried to find new ones. I ended up getting some at Camping World. Before using those, I tried some cone washers from the hardware store. They leaked. I tried the black washers. They leaked. Another RV place gave me some white neoprene washers. They leaked. What the heck am I doing wrong? Tried just tight then of course tight as heck. GRRR... Getting ready to trash the faucet & lines and start over. Thanks.
As already suggested, I would have trashed it from the get-go. The faucet is just too darn cheap to waste time on washers, especially after the first try didn't work. When faucets leak, it has not been my experience it is due to washers. One thing I always do, even with cone washered fitting is use Teflon paste (Great White) on the faucet threads.

Sounds like a standard 1/2" IPT fitting on the end. Sometimes when tightening these washers, less is better. When you over tighten, they twist and leave a slight imperfect surface to seal.
Many standard home type faucets have that same 1/2" end. However, depending where you are, many mfg 'd in the east are 3/8" IPS.
If you haven't bought a new faucet yet. I'd loosen, hand tighten, and just a snug more.
This is totally off the wall, but I was thinking this over last night and forgot to ask the OP. You aren't in a campground with really high water pressure and left off your pressure reducer are you? Here in Bristol for the race, they dial the water pressure at the track way up and folks have weepers here that never have them any place else. Also had one like that in the past. Customer complained of leaks, but could never duplicate it when he brought it in. Turned out he was in one of those campgrounds where you could pressure wash with the water out of the spigot, really high. Pressure reducer solved the problem.
Thanks for all the info so far. This faucet is not only cheap it's deluxe cheap! I opened her up again today to change out the heater t stat. Fun fun in 105 lol This time I took the faucet out and examined the ends of the inlets. Both have rough spots where the plastic is molded. Gonna clean them up with sandpaper and see how that does. Yeah I am kinda cheap but I will not go down without a fight lol A new deluxe cheap faucet is $13 on amazon
figured as much. Get a residential one is what I'd do.
But get a residential one that matches the fittings. Open the darn box to be sure and save a second trip to Lowes or Home Depot, would be my suggestion. On the other hand, the cheapies often last a fair number of years.
