Erh, Umm. Hi?
I've been "Ford" man, or at least tried to be for most of my life.
My first car was a '98 Escort ZX2. I was irresponsibly and wound up losing her in an accident. I then had to fall into a Saturn (it was the only thing available with the little cash I had as a broke 18 Year Old) But I felt better about myself when I grabbed a 1990 Bronco II (Eddie Bauer Edition too!). I drove her hard until her trans went. From there I jumped into a '99 ZX2 (Because I really enjoyed that damn car) until I realized I was cursed and totaled that one within 7 months. I swore off of those cars after that.I decided at that point to finance my first car and the best deal I got was an '03 Grand Prix (GM, I know, I know, but ya know what... she was a good car) I recently put that Grand Prix up for sale and bought my new baby (and probably my favorite (Bronco II being my close second)) a 2012 Escape.
Picking up the Escape woke up a feeling in me I hadn't had since I was in my Bronco II. The off-roading side of me for one, but secondly the urge to do my own build.
Since I was 17 I had been wanting to do my own rebuild on a Ford. My dreams jumped between a 71 Mach I Mustang, to a 95 F150. My newest obsession is a 66 Bronco AND/OR a 96 Bronco.
I decided I would pick the brains of those more experienced than me.
So Hi there everyone!
