The fact that the '15 turbo's didn't live up to all the hype Ford touted at the Texas fair for starters. The NEW turbo is nothing more than an '11-'14 turbo minus the twin compressor wheel plus Lag now. There will never be a quicker spooling turbo than the dual boost in the 11-14's. If ya don't believe me just ask all the Diesel hot rodders over on the Army who have torn apart the New '15 turbos and exposed the truth. I will keep my '13 with the Dual boost and kick but down low any day of the week! The '15 will get me on the top end but who want's speeding tickets! Lag, Lag, Lag? Not on my '13!

Hmmm... Well all that is interesting. I have not driven the 15 yet, but have driven the 14 and was suitably impressed. I guess I will know for sure in about 12 weeks when my 2015 truck gets here. I understand that there are additional changes to the 2015 such as new headgasket design, fuel pump changes, programming and I think I recall a new torque convertor..
I'm not buying the truck for a hotrod - I have real hotrods if I want to go fast. This truck is being bought to work and work hard..

Regards - Randy

Even the exhaust brake was a disappointment from what I've heard.

I would say if the new turbo's are more reliable than the '11-'14 then that is a improvement worth having.

Just as a heads up, there are a few companies that are working on modifying the 2015 chargers. They are being made to accept billet LMM turbo wheels.

Along with that, there is now kits to retro fit a 2015 turbo on the 2011-2014s

Kits will be ready by a few companies pretty soon. Lots of companies are jumping on it.

Depending on the availability/pricing of the H&S kit, this sounds promising for me when mine pops.

I do agree, a peace of mind is priceless but I have had two 1st gen 6.7L's with zero turbo issues, both '11 and now my '13 and believe me when I say I don't baby 'em while driving. I would rather have my warranty cover these failures now than later. The issue on the '11-'12 6.7L were Boost Pressure to high and the stock compressor over boosting then grenading (over 18000 rpms) I have never seen my BP over 23 on my stock '13 so hopefully I'm good on that regards. I truly like the dual boost design of these chargers, just wish they were "beefed" up a little.
