I went from all black trucks to Ruby Red for my 6.4. Tried everything to find a red 6.7 near the same color, or a silver one. Ended up with a Platinum White one. I really don't think they make an ugly color. I love the Blue Jeans color as well. BUT..I REALLY want one with the wide track front end, just with a slightly taller gear.

Thanks, had the wide track on my 08 450 and wanted it on this one. There is a very noticeable difference on turning radius.

5er is 43' gross at 18,000#. Pin weight is about 4,200# has a generator up front. Put 2 Road Kings in the garage and it is a little easier on the truck end.

Probably don't need the air bags but I don't like the sag, It just touches the overloads with 100 gallons of water on board but nothing in the garage.

Its not broken out on my sticker. I cant remember which, but it either came with the 14k GVW package,(no price listed) or the High Capacity Trailer Tow package ($400.)

Yes it is a 4x4.

Relatively new to the site. Looking at buying a 2015 or 2016 F450. Was not aware of the wide track option. I will be towing a 5ver weighing in just over 20K. What are the advantage of the wide track? Available in 4x4?

Crud - no 67w code on my order... I looked on the Build my SuperDuty site (ford.com) and do not see that in the list of options on the F350.

Yeah, I see them too - just not on Ford.com where you can go through the build process for an F350.

I just tried to re-build mine on the Ford site. The wide track axle is included in the High Capacity tow package. To get the package to show up I had to choose , Dual rear wheel, 4:30 axle and Diesel engine.

Copied from another Ford site:

Chassis improvements
The F-350 is available with a high-capacity towing package that includes new front springs and a wide track axle, increasing the gross combined weight rating with the 6.7-liter Power Stroke engine from 31,900 pounds to 35,000 pounds.

The advantage of the wide track is that the front wheels turn a full 45* where as the regular fronts only turn 38*. A huge difference in turning radius, but you can't turn the wide track to a lock position and the truck in 4wd. If you do, the knuckle or axle will break, which is pretty expensive.

Ah-HA!!! Yes, when I select the 4:30 axle ($4,980), it automatically includes the HD towing package...

Thanks... I'm well over my budget already so I better leave well enough alone. My current configuration far exceeds the 16k trailer that I want to pull..
