This to me would be a programing change to the PCM which I don't believe can be done on the fly. IMHO

My GMC was programmed to fold the mirrors when locked. Dash monitor option.
I'd like the same feature.

Yeah I did that on a nissan murano my wife had accidentally.I didnt know that it would roll the windows down by holding down the unlock button.I had my keys in my pocket, bent over or something and the button got pressed and presto. We had a thunderstorm,I didnt realize it till after we got an inch of rain in 20 minutes that the windows were down!Took me a while to figure this out about the windows.I dont like this option on the fob for that reason.Until you posted this I didnt know the ford fob does this as well.I have to go test this out now.

On edit I just tried to do this with my fob on my 2011 f350 and it does not roll windows down.Thankfully!

There's a setting that will activate or deactivate this feature on the windows - depending on your desires.

I haven't stumbled across any mirror options in all of the sub menus I've played with on my truck. I won't be so bold as to say that it's not there, but I haven't found anything either by reading the manuals or playing with the system that does anything with the mirrors automatically folding under any circumstance. The windows with the remote, I found by playing around on the touch screen. I have my mirror, a/c and seat adjustments set for each remote, but nothing for folding unless I hit the fold switch myself.

I don't think there is, and I'd be concerned about wearing out the mirror motor. I think some cars are designed with this feature in mind and probably have components designed to handle that kind of use. Power mirror motor failures aren't exactly rare, and I think using them constantly would probably make that worse.

I use mine at least once a day at the bank drive-thru. Also many times just for courtesy in a tight parking spot. I would like to lube the drive if anyone knows how to get into it?

That's my thoughts as well. I use the fold feature from time to time, but wouldn't want it to always fold when I lock the doors.

Does this job require a workbench?
