Raining here. Hopefully I can dodge the raindrops and finish the gas tank skid plate on the truck tonight. One of the last underbody issues I need to finish.

 

Sounds like you are making some good progress Bill. Warm and sunny up here wit the temps in the low 80's. Have a 50% chance of some storms in the area this afternoon and tonight.

 

Yeah, making progress...one step at a time. Biggest job left to go right now is to change out the rear leafs, won't be this week though.

 

That will be a big job. Are the new ones arched higher or is this for cosmetic reasons?

 

They are what BDS calls their "Glide Ride" kit. They're re-arched to eliminate the need for stacked blocks in the rear. In part it's cosmetics (these are all painted up really nice, with the keeper brackets painted in Lariat gold and all that) but really it's overall a better setup to eliminate the stacked blocks. Not to mention my springs are 15 years old and a refresh certainly wouldn't hurt.
