t409 stainless tends to stay shiney... most exhaust is standard steel which rusts fairly quick... could go with aluminized pipes... but i was thinking of welding sections instead of using the clamps but who knows...

Mine is SS. Was raining the day it was put on. Didn't take long to bake on the road grime.
some stainless exhausts isnt true stainless unfortunately... all the laws state is that it has to have so much a quantity in it for it to be called stainless... the ones that are made true stainless and actually last have the highest quantity stainless in them... your stock exhaust system has a high quantity in it and is why it can last 10+ yrs.. aftermarkets tend to be lesser... the one on the mustangs been there for 10 yrs now... id pulled it off once to paint it... i got tired of looking at the liver spots...

The PO cut up the original exhaust trying to get it to sound like a V8.
