I am looking into buying a new to me pickup. I have a 2 and 4 year old who will be riding with me. Is there enough room in the extended cab for them plus care seats or should I look for strictly supercrew? Bed size doesn't come into play to much as it will be used for camping towing small trailers and hauling my quad. I def want 5.4 and 4x4. Thanks for all help.
The supercab has "enough" room for car seats, but if you can find a supercrew go for it. That few extra inches of space makes a huge difference. As my kids got older I wished I had gotten one instead.
I gotta 3.5 year old and a 6 week old. You will want the super crew trust me. Plenty of space. If bed space is not a factor it's a no brainer to get the screw. Except of course that little money factor.
thats the one thing i wish i could change about my truck. Opening those suicide doors in a tight parking spot is a PIA. I have the supercab and wish it was a full 4 door. My sons car seat fit in the back perfectly fine though, he is 4 now. I only have 1 child though, so having to put one directly behind one of the front seats would limit the space a little but its still manageable. Definitely buy a supercrew if you can afford it.
