No brake lights

No brake lights

This is on a '98 Ranger. Checked fuses and bulbs with an ohm meter and all checked out good. Can anyone point me in the direction of a common cause of my problem? TIA!!!!

brake light switch more than likely. Dont know where located on yours but check the brake pedal for it.

If you have cruise control and it is engaged does it shut off? If not then it will be more than likely the switch.

If the turn signals still work, then the problem is likely in the brake switch or the multi-function switch. The brake light power goes thru the multi-function switch where it can be interrupted for turn signals. If the switch goes, no brake lights is one possible result. If the lights flash when the turn signal is operated, then the switch is more likely.
