speedo needle paint

Swapping speedo heads, I noticed the paint on the needle was a reflective white, but pretty badly chipped.

Has somebody found a suitable off the shelf knock-off or substitute?

Try a hobby store (as in model cars/trains/planes). I found a flat dayglo orange that was a good match to the gauge needles.

if you can't find it at a hobby shop... try the cosmetic section at WalMart... they have everything in "lacquer" from pearl white to hot pink to candy apple red... since it won't get any wear (other than on the edges where you peg the needle..) it should hold up fine...

you might check your significant others drawer ...might be the perfect shade there... so she had to go with one nail not painted... it's a small sacrifice for your speedo needle !

"United Speedometer Service" in Riverside, CA might. (909)684-0292 . If they don't, they likely know a place that does. They've been around since 1957.
