Went up to Seattle to catch a cruise. Stopped in Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway, and Victoria, BC. Took an excursion up through Tracy Arm Fjord on our way to Juneau where we saw the Sawyer Glacier. It calved right in front of us. On the way back we had a few killer whales swimming around the boat. Took a float plane out in Ketchikan to fly over Misty Fjord, then boated back to the cruise ship. We took an adventure raft in Skagway, which was the best excursion of the trip. We got to wear survival suits like on deadliest catch! We had a cool captain that really made it a blast whipping the boat around. In Victoria, BC we rode on a hippo, which is much like a duck, but is built on a school bus rather than an old military truck. Sorry, no pics of that. Juneau was a tendered port, which meant we had to take a water taxi to and from the cruise ship to go ashore. It was raining, and we were all tired from the tracy arm fjord trip so we just stayed onboard. Pics below.
Awesome pictures!! there is one picture that shows the Hippo, I think number 10?
That was a duck in Ketchikan, but yeah, same idea. I guess given that all of these cities are surrounded by water, the ducks/hippos are a fairly popular tourist vehicle.
