Fuel pressure question

Need a quick reference on the proper working fuel pressure on my 98 Expy 5.4 right now with koeo it only primes to 10 psi. Running pressure was 20 psi and after I revved it a few times it slowly rose to 25 psi. The fuel pressure was steady and didn't rise or fall with rpm

33-35 psi
Did you try it with the vacuum hose off the regulator? It's on the tail end of the fuel rail, passenger side.

Not yet. Gonna change the filter and check again. Truck has 125k on it and the filter was changed a few years ago. How long does the fuel pump usually last on these trucks?

I have 160K on my Navigator and the original pump is still in it. For all I know so is the original filter.

I'm thinking the filter is clogged as the pressure doesn't rise or fall with rpm. But I'm gonna find out in about 30 min

Ok. The filter was a definite problem. Swapped it out and the truck has 30 psi at idle with vacuum and the pressure moves with rpm.

I guess this was Devine intervention though as I just saw that the support frame above the tank has rotted through and the rear tank support is no longer holding the tank up. Guess I'm really screwed here

Better stick to 1/2 a tank max. to keep the weight down, until you get some extra support under it.
