I have recently noticed a loss in power, I am towing a 22' Pontoon boat and some weekends it pulls ok and other weekends you'd think I was pulling 20 cars behind me. I have taken it to 2 dealers and both have said they can't find anything wrong. Does anyone out there have any suggestions on this? On one weekend I traveled to the lake on small inclines and could not get over 65 mph without the truck struggling, I launched the boat, parked the truck for 2 days, loaded the boat back up and headed home in the same direction and cruised all the way home at 80 mph with no problem. I don't get it.
When is the last time u changed the fuel filter? Might've been a small clog that passed thru eventually. Bad gas as fsnco1 said would def. do that too.
I've run alot of gas thru the truck but I have not replaced the filter. It has 51,000 miles and the dealer says it looks original but they said the pressure measured good. Any other ideas?
But if you would create a signature so we could know what type vehicle your are asking about then maybe we could narrow down the ideas to those that might help you .
on your other post about trans adaptive learning... yes it can cause grief
Do a search on my user name for the superduty and V10 forums this year....
I write quite a lot about the V10 and the 4R100 trans.
This is not a burning flame post, many of us would like to help, but the posters need learn to give adaquate upfront info.
