Oil specs

Hi all,

Could anybody tell me what oil specs you're using on the 5.4L ?
Here in Europe is a tendency to use more synthetic oil, for instance 10W30 or 5W30. The temperatures here are very mild: min about -15 and max about +30 gr Celcius.

I'm pretty sure what is used in the US is 5W20. Temps here in OK can drop below 0F in the winter and climb to over 100F in the summer

Oil specs

I use Motorcraft 5W20 synthetic blend in mine. This is what Ford calls for, so I will use it. I have always had good luck with Motorcraft oil in my 88 5.0 LX Mustang. 156,000 hard miles and still going. Always use a Motorcraft filter too.
