Hey all,
I am new to Fords but am in the process of rebuilding a 1973 Ranchero GT with 351c and FMX.
My question is what is the best rebuild kit to use on the FMX tranny and who has a good manual for it?
I know the preferance would be to swap it for a C-6 or even an AOD for the overdrive but right now I want to get it back together and then begin slowly, as money allows, changing/upgrading parts.

FMX Tranny
Good luck overhauling an FMX, most parts are obsolete. In over 20 years of transmission repair in a Ford dealership an FMX was the only transmission I couldn't fix. An afterthought, I think it was an MX transmission from a 1966 Ford pickup. Almost the same transmission but even more obsolete.
