That was a 75 mile round trip Towing all my tools in the plus my fuel tank and work box about 1600 pounds in the truck, the truck usually gets 22 when it's completely empty don't know what you're talking about you'll never be satisfied I've talked to you before you wanted to see the picture on the computer screen I showed you 20 miles to the gallon is awesome for 440 horsepower that trip includes hills and mountains heading out to Utica from the other side of Fulton County upstate New York tomorrow I'll let it do the full run 197 miles it averages 20 miles to the gallon oh excuse me tomorrow will be even better I won't have any tools with me of course I'm lying as usual take care

I didn't say you were lying... I believe that you get that, I just said if you want to impress me, build that up to several miles with a regen involved and post 20 mpg... No sarcasm here at all - I'm happy you get that.
I can get it for short distances Which means you are lighter footed, lighter traffic, drive slower, have better fuel, less wind than I do. If we switched trucks, I'd get 13-14 in yours and you would get 20 or so in mine.
I got 18 going up to Fairbanks from Anchorage and 17.5 coming back last May. That included a couple of stops along the way since it's a long drive on crappy roads. Fuel, food, bathroom - especially since I had the wife and 2 kids with me. And a couple of those annoying Pilot car escorts here you wait 20 minutes for the Pilot car to take you through a construction zone on the way back (probably why I only got 17.5). And at least one regen. If I would have timed it right, I would have been higher. My 2011 would have been higher. I know because I did the same drive in it and it was consistently 1 - 1.5 mpg higher on those type drives and 2 mpg for the below route I take with the 2015.
I do a 38.6 mile round trip in the morning and afternoon to pick my son up from school. It's 75% highway (13 miles of the 18.3 each way) and few miles of no stop sign/traffic light slower speed roads, with a couple miles of city streets. Rarely is their ever what I would call 'traffic'. I'm luck if by the second day I am 14 or better... Usually a regen is involved by Day 3.
FWIW, I've used NY winter blend diesel and the fuel here has WAY more #1/Kerosene in it, it's darn close to 100% kerosene in the winter, but I guess that is how it doesn't gel in -50F or colder temps.
We already discussed on another thread how weight in the bed/truck doesn't seem to affect mileage...
I am not unhappy with my truck if I was, like a few other people here have done, I'd trade it in and get something else. Disappointed since it was unofficially stated by Ford that the 2015 was supposed to get better mileage than the 2011-2014's and that isn't what I am finding out.
BTW, this is a good, smooth Alaska Highway:
My neighborhood road is much worse and some of the "highways" here are too... Your roads (and I have driven them) are much better. Only other state I have been in with consistently worse roads than here is Michigan...

as you can tell by my truck computer screen in 3 months I've acquired 13,000 miles on the truck that's high I drive everyday I keep perfect records for the tax accountant the trucks average fuel consumption and cost is very important to me I don't make a light discussion I've taken trips for 260 mile round trips the truck has never pulled under 20 MPG with the exception of pulling the dump trailer with broken ceramics where the combined weight of the trailer is over 12,000 pounds I averaged 12 miles to the gallon understandable. I just find it amazing that everyone post that get 14 miles to the gallon if I drive the truck like a fool it gets 18 , most people I talk to around this area seem to agree 20 is the MPG

I'm glad in your area and the way you drive you see 20 mpg... I have never, in any of my diesel pickups, seen a consistent 20 mpg. I do notice when I drive to the NE I get better mileage in my vehicles. Whatever that reason is, I don't know. Like you, I ask around here and no one sees that mileage either... Granted a lot of trucks here are lifted, deleted, etc.... So I don't count those.
As they say, your mileage may vary.

So not to play the one-up game, but here is my 100,000 mile challenge. I have been using trip meter B for the entire life of my truck to date to keep track of overall fuel economy thoughout my ownership experience. I have checked each tank for accuracy and usually find the lie-o-meter is accurate within 2% (usually on the low side) so I feel the trip meter is fairly accurate. For the curious or non-believers, my truck is a 2011 (build 2), crew cab, 4x4, 3.31 axle with a topper installed. I drive mostly back roads without many stops and starts but have lived up north for about half the truck's life with winter blend diesel. I only tow about 10% of the time and usually with moderate loads below 8,000 lbs. Overall, I have been very satisfied with machine's power and fuel economy. 19.9 MPG over 100k miles definitely exceeded my expectations when I bought this truck and it still puts a smile on my face every day.
