Hi everyone, I am new here and this is my first post also my first truck that I purchased about a week ago. I have a 2001 Ford F-150 SuperCab Full bed with 64k miles. Not a bad deal for a truck specially when trucks here in Wyoming are a premium. Anyways my question is;
What other seats I can install on my truck to replace these van looking seats. If i can install one with heating capability that would be great but I would love to have a center console and better seats for safety reasons.

What seat configuration do you have?? Bench?, or 40/60split bench?, or buckets with center console?
I don't believe that the wiring harness is there for the heated seats....might be IF...you already have electric seats. I was told that the unilateral wiring harness was not installed until 02'. So even if a truck had manual seats the factory harness that electric seats would plug into would be there. BUT adding heated seat can be done. I know that LMC has kits available to add headed seats to you current seats.
AS long as you stay within you truck generation....most seats should bolt right in. What you will need to pay attention to is weather your seat has the seat belt secured to the floor or weather it attaches to the seat back.
Pretty sure that all crew cabs have the seat belts attaching to the floor or door post. Odds are that your supercab has the seat belt attaching to the seat back. Earlier years of this generation did not Like 97-00', those seat belts attached to the floor.
I do not know for sure if the cab floor of super cabs would have the holes there to change up the seat belt mount location or not. If your seat belts attach to the seat back.
not completely sure... but i think that 04' and maybe 05' seats maybe able to work as well but modification to seat mount hole maybe be needed. the 04' Heritage edition should be more accommodating to this.
It some what odd that you would like to change these seats? Many folks that had your generation of truck liked these seats over the newer generations...on a comfort basis.
Thanks! The seats I have don't allow my baby car seat to stay rear facing in the back. Due to no room or ability to fold the center seat since these seats are like van seats. Also they don't feel save during an accident.

SOoo your front seat is a full bench???....no split for the driver or center fold down?? or center console which would be buckets in a nut shell.
your current seat looks like this
and you want something like this
or this

Reason: more info
You got it. The bench style is not my thing and I like the looks of the last two pictures you provided. Not only that but it helps have the kids car seats in the back instead of having it on the front. Also I feel those seats are better than the bench style seats. I don't have to have heated seats is not a priority but having the split in the center helps or having a console.

Well I didn't think that a full bench was a option for a super cab?? But who knows maybe it was.
Anyway you should be able to swap seats out without too much issue. Like mentioned earlier just pay attention to where your current seat belts are attached to. (Floor or the seat back) and get the same of the replacements.
I would start with your local auto salvage yards, they may have some thing for you....But be prepared a nice set of front seats won't be all that cheap...your looking at maybe $500. range....more if they come out of a Harely or Lightning editions.
You'll need the production date of your truck and the interior code, both of which are found on the drivers side door tag. The interior code is more for matching your interior color
looks like you can use seats from the earlier portion of this generation (10th generation)97-00' and apparently 01' too. Those seat belts anchor to the floor like yours...so you don't have to worry about getting the the belts...but you might have to get the clip in side ( female end of seat belt engagement)....but a good salvage yard can answer that better. This seat belt floor anchoring also might open more options too. You might be able to find something out of a expedition or navigator.
Good hunting...I can see where the child seat really is cramped.
OH BTW welcome to FTE & you do have a nice looking truck...is that a 8ft box too I see.
Thanks! That is not the seat, is for my baby which doesn't fit at all even the smallest one doesn't fit on the back. Is why I need the split so that it can go side by side with my other toddler car seat. You are right though, there is not enough room for that one car seat there.
Yup is an 8ft. Nice truck with brand new tires and 64k miles. Not a bad price after my down payment. The thing that sucks out here is that people sell trucks with 200k+ miles for 5-14k depending on year. CRAZY!.. lol is the best deal I found was this truck even though I wanted a 4 door one.
well i was snooping on Craigs List....My drivers side seat is in need of some healthy TLC. Any way....If the shipping costs wouldn't be astromomical>>> found this Front and Rear seats for Ford F150

Nice Thanks!, I am checking the local salvage yards out here that way if I can get it cheaper here I can take them home right away.

Better double check on the '01 seats. I have one that is a Supercab and it has both passenger and driver side suicide doors for the rear seat. My seat belts anchor to the floor and the seat back.

yeah seems like 01' was a transition year for a lot interior changes for seat belt location and seat design....which make for a lot frustration when looking for a replacement seat
I see, dang it. Well is that the reason when I look online for the seats they have some that say inter or with out inter etc...? not sure if that means integrated seat belts or not.

It kinds depend on the salvage yard....they can have their own lingo from place to place. BUt they seem to be getting better continuity with internet searches. You're prolly right about the integrated or not integrated seat belt....at least that is what I would take to mean. In short, don't be shy about asking for clarification of terms.
Best thing you can do is call a place that has seats that you like and start asking questions. Maybe even call a local dealership and ask what seats would fit your truck ...or not fit your truck? ( perhaps get better details then what I have given)....SO you know what to ask the salvage yard and know what to stay away from too. A good parts department at a dearship should be more then happy to help. Never know, they might just know where to find a set of seats too.
