New one on me. A guy selling a truck I'm about to go look at claims to have a UPS motor in his truck. And it's a 240. I would guess it's really a modern 300 out of a E250/E350.

Don't be too sure about this.
From 1953 thru 1976, UPS used P350's. P Series are known as 'bread trucks' (front doors slide back/forth), because so many bakeries used them.
Ford supplied the rolling chassis, front sheet metal and windshield, bodies supplied by after market body makers.
Beginning in 1965, P's came with 240's as standard equipment, 300 was optional (thru 1974).
There's nothing special about either I-6, same as installed in F series trucks, Econolines. 240 was also the standard equipment engine in 1965/72 Galaxie/LTD.
P350/500 rolling chassis was used by early Class A motor home makers, Condor for one.
240 cancelled at the end of the 1974 model run, P Series cancelled at the end of the 1976 model run. UPS began mounting their bodies on the E350 rolling chassis, only I-6 available: 300.
