Looks like and 4x4 F250/350 steering gear to me. A 2wd version orients the pitman arm forward. Yours looks like it points sidewards.... btw, that's a new word - 'sidewards'.

Used to be a machine shop in Iowa that sold a conversion kit using a 2wd box. I think it was called Ibeling repair not sure on the spelling. If I rember correct you can turn the arm every 90 degrees. Had to do some die grinder work if you didn't have the correct tapered reamer & use a 1973-87 chevy drag link.

thats what i was wondering,the drag link looks to be from a chevy. At least part of it,the sleeve was welded to 1 of the tie rod ends. I made my own with moly tubing and heim joints. thanks guy's.
