What is this hole for?

What is this hole for?
What is this hole in my firewall for? Is there some sort of factory plug that I am missing or should I just make a plug for it? In case it is not obvious in the pic, it is on the driver's side just behind the head.

You're missing a rubber plug. Find a plug from a junkyard or cover it up some other way, because you are letting heat and noise from the engine into the cab with the hole open like that.
That hole was there for the EEC-IV computer wires to feed through on the models that used it. The computer would have been located under the dash, and the wires routed through the firewall to the engine bay.

Thanks for the pic and the offer. I will make a junk yard trip tomorrow and let you know if I come up with one or not. I would be interested in grabbing one from you if I cannot find one.
