Tire Rotation

How often do you guys with 4x4 X rotate tires? The reason I ask is that the local tire dealer told us on this vehicle it needs to be done every 4-6K miles. They do it for free so they are not trying to sell us anything. We now have a problem with our tires in the front having uneven lug wear(one lug is higher then the next all the way around tire). They said this is normal if you don't rotate. Have you guys had this trouble before?

I rotate my tires every other oil change. That would be every 6k miles.

I rotate mine every 5,000 miles. That, plus regular air pressure adjustments, really helps to lengthen the tread life.

I had the same problem with my last truck, so I rotate every 3,000 so I don't have to worry about it - serviced mine with nitrogen so there isn't any fluctuation in pressure, which will cause abnormal wear too
