iesel is correct, hope it is not the diesel in the crank case for your sake.
Not to fear. Had it happen to me twice in AZ, four times in TX, twice in LA and finally once in TN. I was pulling my trailer on a trip from Las Vegas to Key West and didn't want to stop at a dealers to get it fixed. Each time I put it on it blew off right away, then lasted a day or two. I thought I finally fixed it in New Orleans. That fix lasted three weeks. Then, on my return in Tenn, it blew again. I called Dearborn and had the CS guy find me a dealer on my way home. He found one in Humbolt, TN. Gene Landley Ford. If you have to break down that the place to do it.
The pipe from the turbo to the intercooler was the problem. They took the pipe and coupler hose off a new F250 and put it on mine. I was in and out in an hour and a half. I still owe them a letter of thanks.
I think Ford got a bad batch of pipes. If you want to fix it your self, take the pipe to a muffler shop and have them enlarge the end that goes into the intercooler. Just a little bit. It should stay on after that.
Good luck.
PS: The fix in New Orleans was to stop at Wal-Mart and buy carb cleaner, paper shop towels and some high-temp silicone. Cleaned the connection well applied silicone and let it sit over-night.

!!!THANKS FOR THE RESPONSES!!!
Sorry about the slow response, but here goes....
The problem was a hose that blew off the Turbo. Which did get fixed and we managed to get on the road about 3pm that Monday afternoon. We showed up at the dealership "Hill Ford" in Champaign IL at 7:30 am and they set to work on it shortly thereafter. After a few attempts of putting the hose back on and it blowing back off on test drive they contacted Ford. Ford said this was a known problem and they had a "kit" for fixing it. The "kit" had to be delivered from somewhere else and wouldn't be at the dealership until about 1pm. If I had the piece of paper from the service dept I'd write what was on it, however the truck is now in the dealership it was bought it from with the piece of paper in it. The current problem is rough idling. It seemed to do fine until we got home and stopped at the mailbox. Then the rough idling happened. Another problem that seems to be happening is that it is slow to start. As if it will not turn over. (I hope that's the way to explain.) BUT the service guy says he can't find anything wrong with it, so we have no explanation as to the rough idling and slow start.

Although we both love this truck we are beginning to doubt it and Ford. We asked about a re-imbursement for the motel stay, no go. As we see it, this was/is a known problem with these trucks. And we were stranded at no fault of our own to pay for a nights motel stay and miss a days work. I also had a plane to catch on Tuesday morning, so there was a risk of missing that or having to rent a car and leave the truck in Champaign to make it back to Knoxville only to have to return to get it.
Also, NO complaints about Hill Ford in Champaign IL, these guys were great to us!
Thanks again !

Sounds like the place to go to get this problem fixed is Tenn. :-

Other than this, not a problem in 8500 miles on a 12/02 production model. This will be the truck's first visit back to a dealer for anything.
I was glad I wasn't towing when that happened to me. I do not even have an enclosed trailer, so everything would have been in the open. Not a great feeling. But thankfully, I have not had any more trouble with that, and now I have almost 17,000 miles on it.
