Spindle Removal
I have problem with the spindles on my '92 F150. They are rusted on VERY bad and i cant get them off. I'm not sure if I should hit it with a rubber mallet or what. What should I do??I need to take them off in order to replace the ball joints. Any tips on doing that too?
Spindle Removal
well they make a tool to remove spindles, but the way i've always done it is get a punch and a big hammer, from the back side theres some holes you can get to to pound the crap out of them. It usually works after a six pack and a half hour.

Letting them soak in penetrating lube may help a little. Along with what Ryan50hrl said, you can also give them a good buncha wacks with the rubber mallet like you mentioned. You can also use a block of wood with a big hammer. The wood is soft enough not to damage the spindle. Yet another option is to use a cold chisel to "wedge" the spindle off. Be careful using this method though.
You have to get it off the studs evenly or it will bind itself on.
