Mutt dog ranger need a bit of help with
Ok so we just started on another project which brought me into this section. I have a 96 ranger that I am turning into a mutt dog truck.
The chassis and drivetrain is a 92 ranger 4x4 4.0L A4LD with 3.73LS extended cab
The cab, bed, and all those goodies are a 96 Ranger 2wd 2.3L 5spd with 3.08 or 3.55 open diff (I forgot now)
I am using the dash, carpet, and a few other interior pieces from the 92 in the 96 cab but using the 96 door panels, back panels, and rear seats.
So here is a few hang ups I have gotten to:
the tail light harness for the 96 has 3 bulbs each tail light where as the 92 has 2 bulbs each tail light. I am using the 96 bed so I need to figure out what to do for the tail lights. Can I just plug in the 96 tail light harness and have everything (reverse, turn, brake, and running) or am I going to have to custom wire it in?
We are building this truck for my brother and we have 2 sets of seats. One seat is from the 92 ranger which are buckets that work but barely. The other set is from a 98+ ranger that is 60/40 with flip middle seat. My brother likes the 98+ ranger seat will the 98+ ranger seat fit? I don't mind drilling holes but would prefer it to be a bolt in swap.
Am I going to have any interference with the 96 door panels against the 92 dash?
Will the 92 rear window, left door window, and windshield fit the 96 cab?
thanks
