on there EX's? I put a power stop kit on my wife's explorer and really like there price and quality. The kit for the EX has drilled/slotted rotors. I do not tow that much but when I do it is fairly heavy around 7/8K. Going to be doing my X/B spring swap Friday and my brakes just started pulsating a few weeks ago its from the rear but figured do fronts also. Thanks for opinions or information.
Well I pulled the trigger on a set of the Power Stop truck/tow brake kit K1906-36 for towing and heavier trucks and suv's. Here is a link to the place I ordered from plus I got free shipping and a extra 15% off Power Stop Truck Brakes Kits, Powerstop Z36 Extreme Performance Brake Kit . Can not wait to get them and install it might be after the springs are swapped in but it will give me something to do before work in mornings next week. I will post my results when the are installed.
I have and had power stop brakes on my superduty, both expeditions and a Pontiac G6 GT. I love them and they brought our lifted expy on 35's to stop faster then most sport compacts... I bought mine from brakemotive76 on ebay and always free shipping
Thanks everyone like I stated in my first post they are on my wife's Explorer and they preform great and she is hard on her vehicles. So I am sure I'll be happy also just wanted a little reassurance since it is a bigger vehicle than our Explorer.
Jumping on here, has anyone with the power stop kit had any issues with brake pad fitment? I see several reviews around that said they had to be ground at the edges to fit the caliper.
I'll let you know how they fit when I get them, I know on the set for the wifes explorer they fit great no problems. I have had to grind the edges on other brands over the years also. My guess is they might of not gotten all the rust off the area, also had that happen. I will hopefully see the kit before this weekend so I can do brakes while doing spring swap but if not next week on brakes.
Ive got either Power Stop or or Power Slot slotted rotors on the front, I can't remember which. Pads are Hawk LTS. So far, so good; probably have about 50k on them, but I think Im gonna need to do something soon. I have towed a lot with them.
Mine worked perfectly with no fitment issues. Got about 4k miles on them so far.

My Power Stop kit fit with no issues. It came with powder coated calipers, slotted/drilled rotors & pads for $450 from Rock Auto. Works well and better than before, but not great at stopping the 8k lb beast on 37's.
More on this, plz... EBC is also on my list, how were theirs better? Green or yellow?
I used the green to reduce brake dust build up (which it did) and was pleasantly surprised how much more stopping power they have. Now that we are full time campers though I may try they yellow next time to see if they stop even better.
Not knocking power stop, lots of people love them. This is just my experience.
