I really need some help...Have a 95 B3000 4x4 Xtended cab, 57k. Have had the door chime and light problems, thanks for the posts on those. Have two problems left:
1. Intermittently doesn't start. At least once a week it just won't start. Can wait 10-30 minutes and then everything is fine. Happened last night and wouldn't start after 1.5 hours. This morning, fine. Does turnover fine. Garage says new computer is needed. Does that make sense?
2. A year after truck was new the temp gauge starting acting funny. Wouldn't work and then would kick in. Last few years hasn't worked at all and then will pop on until the next time I shut it off. Could this be related to the computer? Any suggestions?
As always, look for loose connections. After that's done, for item #1 I'd prolly just take a chance on the EEC relay being bad. I had this prob (well a 1x no start followed by start the next day) and that cheap little relay was all it needed. Just my 2 cents worth on where to start.

I would try to determine if the no start is due to a lack of fuel or spark first.
Try grounding the sender wire, if it pegs the gauge then you know the gauge/wiring is good and then I would just replace the sender. The sender has only one wire, the two wire one is for the ECU.
