I have a 2011 F250 6.2; bought it used at 62k km and now at 66k km. Never saw anything before yesterday but now it has a leak somewhere under the engine.
It looked worse this morning with the rain so I put a sheet of paper under it and it looks yellow dark orange drops just inches rear of the bumper. Looking from the top I don't see any oil anywhere on the engine block.
Did not have to add coolant yet. It is halfway between the upper and lower lines but I have no idea where it was yesterday or the month before.
It is by the front bumper in line with the driver side tow hook but behind the bumper.
I'm sure it's not rust colored water because it does a rainbow oil effect on the water puddles. It's also too orange to be oil so it has to be coolant or power steering fluid maybe???
I will try to get the dealer to look at it ASAP monday but I was wondering if it was risky to drive short distances until then.
Yeah that isn't from rain water mixing with rust. A leak from somewhere. If it is reddish in color it is likely power steering fluid (atf).
I have had those factory spring clamps cause a leak already. When replaced with a stainless hose clamp the leak went away. So look around all the hoses as well as the radiator.
I just checked the power steering fluid and the level is just a little bit under MIN. Also seems to make sense from what I can see of black spots on my street. Nothing at all from rolling to the front of the house and parking along the street. A LOT of black spots following the curve of me doing a 3 point turn to back up the truck in the driveway.

Have someone turn the steering wheel from lock to lock several times while you look for leaks.
I had a smoking issue on my old truck that took me a little to figure out. It would occasionally let a plume of thick white smoke from under the hood. Finally figured out when turning hard the pressure would rise in the power steering system and shoot a stream of power steering fluid on the hot exhaust header. It shot out right at the base of the steel crimp collar on the one hose..
