ugly stained carpet
i have a 94 aerostar shortie. it has some god awful tan carpet that matches the god awful tan paint and interiour. i want to replace all the carpet in the van with black to match its soon to be color. does anyone here know of a company that makes replacement molded carpet inserts for the cab of these vans. i know the back can just be done with some roll carpet from walmart, but the front of these will be almost imposible with flat roll carpet.

Look in the Yellow pages under carpet cleaning and dying. I would take the van up there and see what they think. If the carpet is dirty, but not too badly worn they maybe able to save it. You will have to take the carpet out for them to do a good job. You will need a Torx T-45 3/8 drive bit for the front seats. If you have to replace the carpet, find you what color will be easier to dye. Wally world has a cheap interior paint. Mattos has an interior paint that is $18 to $20 a can. Make sure you triple clean all the plastic, with final cleaning with 99% rubbing alcohol. Have someone watch you clean so they can tell you if you missed a spot.
