I can relate, but if it is mine I have no patience for it. If it is for work or for a friend it'll be done right. If it is mine, it will probably be reliable and quite ugly... lol
added in edit; what are you going to do for AC lines? I'm looking to convert both of my projects to a more efficient compressor.

One of the reasons I started this post is to have a resource for someone to see what works and hasn't worked for me.
Today I found the the EGR delete spacer I bought isn't going to work. When I installed it I found the plate to hookup the throttle and TV cable doesn't fit, it hits the coolant lines that run to the heater core. After an hour or so of web searching and not finding much info I decided to run the factory EGR plate and just put a block off plate where it solenoid bolts on. Now there is plenty room for the cables.
The first two pictures show the gap between the plate and bracket.
Here is a picture of the plate I made to cover the EGR solenoid. It mounts on the back of the throttle body so it doesn't have to look real pretty. I could of ordered one for $10 and waited a week but I had the time and materials.
Last are the pictures of the factory EGR plate and the bracket mounted on it. It sticks out farther but I don't have a problem with room so it will work fine. And it's all lined up like Ford intended it to work.
Now all I need to do is take it off and clean it up real nice.

Today I mounted the thottle cable and pedal, first try no so good but after reengineering I figured it out.
I used the factory pedal and a pedal out of a 79 Bronco, I was told the bronco pedal would bolt right up and work... Well not true it does bolt up but the throttle cable is on the out side of the cab not on the inside like what is needed.
It looked good when I mocked it up but something went wrong when I welded it and it just didn't work.
Much better now!

I've been working alot of OT so I haven't had a lot of time to work on the truck this week but I did get the check engine light installed in the dash and refurbished the column.
I use a LED light I had laying around and I must say it looks like it came that way, if they had LED lights back in 1973 I got the idea of putting the light in the instrument cluster after looking at Lloydable's post when he had his cluster apart installing LED lights strips. I really couldn't figure out any other place to put it and I'm happy with how it turned out.
I almost forgot to mention I repainted the gage needles with my 5 yr old daughters metallic orange finger nail polish.

Thanks! Be careful with the needles they are very delicate, and you might try green bulbs or green covers on the turn signal lights. Good luck!
